Description
DWV Pipe Suppliers
A DWV pipe (drain waste and vent) pipe is made from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride resulting in their lightweight aspect. The damage rate is minimal as they are designed with a high impact strength overcome destruction during handling and installation as well as a high resistance to a wide variety of chemicals. Due to their capability to carry hot and cold water as well as withstanding high pressure.
DWV pipes are widely acceptable and are used in various disciplines such as tubs, sinks, showers, toilets and ice makers are only supplied by a cold water line. Also, they are used in appliances such as dishwashers and clothes washers which are supplied with hot water.
Due to their wide range application, they are therefore manufactured using standardized measurements to ensure their distribution and suitability among different disciplines.
DWV Pipe Sizes
To provide stiffness, DWV pipes are supplied with either rubber ring or solvent weld with their classes categorized according to their application in which classes SN4 and SN6 are suitable for domestic use with SN8 and SN10 classes designed for general drainage.
Insolvent weld, SN4, and SN6 classes are supplied in lengths of 6 meters with the minimum nominal diameter of 43mm and a wall thickness of 2.0mm. Classes SN8 and SN10 are provided in lengths of 3 meters or 6 meters with a minimum outside diameter ranging from 160mm to 315mm and a wall thickness of 3.9mm to 10.4mm respectively.
In rubber ring, the pipe is supplied in lengths of 3 meters with a minimum outside diameter of 160mm and a minimum wall thickness of 4.2mm for class SN4 while in class SN8, the standard supply length is 3 meters with a minimum outside diameter of 160mm and a thickness of 5.2mm respectively.
DWV Pipe Fittings
DWV pipe fittings are made of brass, copper, plastic and stainless steel and are used to make connections from DWV to DWV pipe connection, DWV pipe to manifold connection, DWV pipe to faucets and fixtures, copper and a variety of other applications.
DWV pipe fittings ensure flexibility as they can be used to make a variety of connections and are therefore of benefit to you. Other advantages acquired from using these accessories includes cost effectiveness, durability, environmental conservation and lower labor costs due to fewer connections.
Therefore, when making a choice of either household or general drainage, DWV pipes would be the best option.
